We are living through a major historical event! Would you write us a letter, telling the future people that will read it, how this Covid-19 pandemic effected you and your family? Please share your experiences managing these uncertain times. How are you spending your quarantine time? We want the future visitors that visit the Scott County Museum, to know what the Pandemic was like from your own words. These will be cataloged and preserved for years to come. Mail to: Scott County Museum, PO Box 122, Scottsburg, IN 47170-0122. Attn: Jeannie. To email, send to firstname.lastname@example.org and put Covid in the Subject line. Thanks for helping to preserve this historical event. All submission must be written or typed. Due to errors, we can’t write down what you tell us in person or phone.
The Brown Bag Luncheons will be canceled until September. The History Dinners are canceled but will be rescheduled.
“In light of the on-going struggle in Indiana and in Scott County to keep the number of COVID-19 victims low, we are postponing the board meeting and the barn sale until June,” Amick stated.
If state-level meeting restrictions lessen in May, Amick said it may be possible a board meeting could happen later in May. “Right now, we don’t see that happening,” she commented. Barn sales are now scheduled to start on June 6.
“We’ll certainly let the public know if our plans change,” the board president said.
The Museum has been closed since March 24, It is located at 1050 South Main Street, Scottsburg. Persons are welcome to call at 812-752-1050 and leave messages.
