The museum, in cooperation with Tobias Auction Service, will host a fundraising auction at the Scott County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 17. The auction will begin at 10:00 am, but items will be on display by 8:00 am.
Items for the auction are being accepted either on consignment or as a donation. Consigned items will be sold with a set percentage of the sale price going to the museum; the remainder will go to the seller.
"For this auction we're asking folks to bring farm machinery, vehicles, tools and equipment, appliances and large furniture. These larger items will help us raise more money and are easier to handle," museum Director Jeremy Risen explained.
Those wanting to consign or donate items for the auction are asked to call or stop by the museum to provide information about their item. Proceeds from this event will fund operating expenses for the museum.
